This morning I woke up to K-Love Radio. The guy was talking about people’s feeling of despair and worry about these hard economic times. I thought that if only America could change her thinking. Things aren’t as bad as we think through Jesus Christ. We have all we need through Him. Jesus sweetly and assuredly tells us that we will have all that we need so why do we not really believe it? So I started to pray that the country of America would change her thinking to one of God’s Love, Grace and Provision. Right away I saw a picture of a big wolf. Its fur was dark near the roots but faded into white at the ends and around it was a white aura. Wow, ok, Lord, I need to go look this up!
Upon looking up the meaning in a Christian book I have called, “Understanding the Dreams you Dream” by Ira Milligan, I saw that “wolf” meant “devourer; false prophet; evil minister or governor; person seeking his own gain”.
“I know that after I am gone, ferocious wolves will get in among you, not sparing the flock; Even from among your own selves men will come to the front who, by saying perverse (distorted and corrupt) things, will endeavor to draw away the disciples after them [to their own party].” Acts 20:29,30
Then I looked up “white” and that means “pure”, but this wolf was not really white. The 2nd verse next to white was 2 Kings 5:27 “ The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee…and he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow (cursed, completely covered, without mixture, i.e., without mercy)”.
So, what do I think? Our country is being affected by this devourer but it does not have to affect us. If a man or woman becomes what his heart thinks then I think it is so important to stop worrying. (For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Prov. 23:7) When we worry we are looking at the problem. We can’t look at Jesus and the problem at the same time. That is why the Word says, fix your eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 “Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection].”
America is being deceived by the Devourer but in Jesus precious name we can rebuke that Devourer from our home, our finances, our families and everything that concerns us. If God is for us than who can be against us? “What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?].” Romans 8:31
Here is another encouraging verse! “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before the time in the field, saith Jehovah of hosts.” Malachi 3:11
I hope that this encourages us to pray for our country to not be devoured and to pray for the saints, our sisters and brothers in Christ, that each one of us will not faint in our hearts by looking at the news or the troubles around us. Let’s pray that in our minds and in our hearts we will be renewed and filled with faith and hope, and that we will see our Father’s heart for us. Jeremiah 29:11 comes to mind… “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”
