Jesus, The Lover of My Soul

Jesus,… the Lover of my soul.  My heart cries out for deep love, deep intimacy, deep connection.  How will it ever be met? When will we learn to see Jesus for what He came to do in our hearts?  True happiness and fulfillment can only be truly met in His arms. Our deepest needs are met by the Lover of our soul.  (Don't get me wrong, my husband is the sweetest and kindest man! I love him so much!  I am talking about the place in every woman and man's heart that can only be filled by Jesus.)

I was sitting on the stairs in my house, looking at the pictures we have up of family and friends.  I was praying for them and thinking of the tasks I had on my mental notepad of things to do that day.  I hung my head in my hands for a moment, then all of a sudden I heard in my heart, “Lift up your head.” I lifted up my head. “I am the lifter of your head…”  Then in my mind I saw and then I felt Jesus plant a kiss on my lips.  Then He sat down next to me and my spirit felt Him put His arm around me.  He spoke to my heart and my physical heart started to race.  He said how proud He was of me and that He loves me.  He said that I should be so happy that all the work and love I have been giving out has been producing fruit!  “Just look at your children,” He said, “and look at the fruit your husband is producing.  You are seeing a harvest now.  And you will see more harvest soon.”  I just sat there trembling, so grateful and overwhelmed.

I immediately thought of you (every woman I know), and how I can share how we can all see Jesus like this.  All we have to do it ask.  Everything we experience we pass on to others.  God’s timing is always perfectly placed so that we can be used to encourage others.

Why should I keep this to myself when reading this again encourages me and lifts me up?  I hope that reading this will open your eyes to Jesus' deep love for us and to the endless possibilities of His Love and Presence.  Let your heart believe that all things are possible in Jesus' wonderful and powerful name.

2 Corinthians 3:18
And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

1 Corinthian 2:12  "Now we have received, not the spirit of this world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God."

Let us freely accept and enjoy His wonderful love for us!  I thank the Spirit of Jesus for showing me (us) His great love in such a sweet and intimate way.  May this bless your heart today as it did mine.

Ephesians 2:4,5

"But God--so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,
Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation)."
